The three years I spent on the GBHS speech and debate team were inestimably important to my personal development, providing a solid intellectual foundation for future academic endeavors and instilling communication skills that have paid enormous dividends in various aspects of my life. I competed primarily in Lincoln-Douglas debate and extemporaneous speaking, and would be happy to answer any and all questions you might have about these and other events. After graduating from GBHS I attended the University of Chicago for one year and then transferred to Stanford. In 2004 I graduated with a BA in History, and I began working for the State Department as a
Foreign Service Officer. I am currently serving at the US Embassy in
Guatemala. Public Diplomacy is my specialty within the Foreign
Service, and I use my public speaking skills on a daily basis.
